A: A LMN is a document from a licensed healthcare provider that certifies why a given product is medically necessary for you. It's required to substantiate HSA/FSA eligibility.

When you choose to pay with HSA/FSA funds at checkout, you’ll be guided to complete a short TrueMed health survey. Based on your responses, a licensed healthcare provider reviews your information to determine eligibility. If approved, you’ll receive your Letter of Medical Necessity (LMN) via email along with your receipt and instructions for substantiating your purchase.

TrueMed’s healthcare team typically reviews submissions and provides a response within 1 business day after you complete the survey. Once approved, your LMN and confirmation details will be sent directly to your email.

If the healthcare provider determines that your reported symptoms don’t demonstrate a medical necessity for a massage chair, your LMN request may not be approved. In that case, you can still complete your purchase using another payment method, but HSA/FSA funds cannot be used for reimbursement.

Accessories and add-ons—such as covers, pads, or upgrades—are generally not eligible under HSA/FSA programs unless your healthcare provider specifically includes them in your LMN as medically necessary. Check with your provider or benefits administrator to confirm eligibility before purchasing.

If your HSA/FSA plan doesn’t allow direct payment at checkout, you can still use your credit or debit card to purchase your TitanChair. Then, submit your Letter of Medical Necessity and itemized receipt to your plan administrator for reimbursement.
